Learners gain practical skills working on PCs. Databases, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, web page design and general computer theory are covered. It is important to note that learners wishing to take CAT will in most cases have to meet university entrance requirements of 50% or more in 4 subjects from a total of 5 subjects instead of 6 because CAT is not on the designated subject list. This should not put learners off taking CAT as a subject as they can definitely still gain entrance into university and it is a valuable subject in its own right.
