On completing my Grade 12 at UniHigh, I enrolled for a Degree in Psychology & Labour Relations at the new Potchefstroom Campus – I am truly enjoying every moment of it. I have opted to receive all my study guides and write exams in English. Having had the opportunity to write matric with English 1st language at UniHigh, prepared me very well for this. I received 4 distinctions in the 1st semester.
UniHigh has played a big part in my success as a 1st year university student. The interpersonal communication skills that I learnt at UniHigh and the exposure to individuals with different backgrounds and cultures prepared me to fit right in anywhere, regardless of the situation. I am also involved in different aspects of student life at NWU. I was recently elected to Privatus, which is the representative organisation on campus for Psychology students. My portfolio is academics – I represent the entire faculty as the go-between between lecturers and students.
My biggest privilege however was to be elected as project leader of one of NWU’s main community projects. My specific project focuses on a group of children from the Ikageng Township whom I will be teaching leadership skills. I am extremely excited about this.
We wish Fantine continued success as she makes the most of her opportunities at university!
